Properties
The pure substance of this product is white powder and soluble in ether solvent such as DMF, dichloromethane, toluene, THF and diethyl ether solvent, etc. It has similar reducing capability as Lithium aluminum hydride (LiAlH4)but has better selectivity. DMF was used to combine with it to form the complex, which increases its stability.
Usage
Zinc Borohydride was used as selective reduction of aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acid and its derivatives, imine, nitrile, epoxy compound, olefin(acetylene), etc..It has good stereoselectivity for chiral molecule.
